This project was one of the first to follow the Ontario Government's policy of design/build to create new facilities. Our task was to provide a schematic design for a subsequent design/build proposal call. Our client's primary concern was that the quality of the design would be carried through to completion. Our work actually went beyond schematic design. We produced a Construction Methods Report and Budget, Performance Standards, Performance Specification, and finish schedules for all finishes and major building details.

The design supports the Ministry's goal of contributing to Ontario's environmental, social, and economic well-being through sustainable development. The buildings design proposes solutions which are environmentally conscious yet cost-effective. Office spaces are designed with natural light, healthy air, low noise levels, and individual temperature controls for every 100 square meters.
