MORIYAMA & TESHIMA ARCHITECTS NOW ON THE INTERNET

Toronto, April 24, 1995 - Moriyama & Teshima Architects is the first Canadian architectural firm to establish a World Wide Web site on the Internet.

The Toronto-based firm provides information on its philosophy, staff, computer technologies, and projects, including a selection of photographs and drawings.

New projects will be featured regularly. The first is the Bata Shoe Museum in Toronto which officially opens on May 6. On the Moriyama & Teshima site, information can be found on the Museum's background, its design, opening exhibits, and the many shoes in the collection.

Moriyama & Teshima has established a reputation over the last 37 years for designing projects that promote humanistic and social values. Past projects include the Canadian Embassy in Tokyo, Bank of Montreal Institute for Learning in Scarborough, Metropolitan Toronto Reference Library in Toronto, Science North in Sudbury, and a 100-year vision for the Niagara Falls area. The firm is currently designing a building for Seneca College at the York University campus in North York and a YMCA facility in Vancouver.
